North Atlantic Council (NAC/NATO)
As the most powerful decision-making body in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the North Atlantic Council (NAC) is made up of Permanent Representatives from each member country. With meetings at least once a week, the NAC seeks to inform the public and non-member countries about decisions made by NATO. The actual NAC meets on various levels, ranging from Permanent Representatives to the actual Heads of Government themselves. It is also the only committee whose authority is explicitly stated in the Treaty. All decisions are arrived at with unanimous consensus.
