Conference Policies & Procedures

ENFORCEMENT:

All CAHSMUN personnel, faculty advisors, delegates and others present at the conference shall abide by the following Conference Policies.

Faculty advisors are advised to help CAHSMUN enforce the Conference Policies.

Please report any infringement or the suspicion thereof to the Secretariat or to your committee dais.

Should a delegate be suspected of violating any of the Conference Policies, the faculty advisor will be consulted as part of the decision.

Should a faculty advisor be suspected of violating any of the Conference Policies, CAHSMUN reserves the right to contact the appropriate supervising body as part of the enforcement.

Should a CAHSMUN staff member be suspected of violating any of the Conference Policies, the attending members of the Board of Directors as well as the Secretary-General shall be included in the decision process.

All violations of the Conference Policies are resolved on a case-by-case basis. CAHSMUN reserves the right to suspend the individual for a specific duration from his or her role at the conference, and expulsion of the individual will occur if appropriate.

CAHSMUN reserves the right to include any of the federal, provincial or municipal authorities as part of the enforcement of Conference Policies.

CONFERENCE POLICIES:

Delegates are expected to attend all committee sessions and remain in character during the conference.

CAHSMUN requires all delegates to dress in business attire. Men - a suit and tie, and the suit jacket must be worn to be recognized. Women - a skirt or dress pants, and no sleeveless tops.

All individuals at CAHSMUN are required to wear conference-issued nametags. Nametags and committee placards are replaceable at a cost.

All actions, objects, materials and substances that are deemed as illegal or illegal in the presence of minors by federal, provincial, municipal or school authorities are strictly prohibited at CAHSMUN.

Vandals assume all responsibility of structural damages done to the conference venue.

An individual who, intentionally or unintentionally, causes bodily harm to others at the conference will be dealt with as federal, provincial, and municipal laws prescribe.

All individuals at CAHSMUN shall respect each other while in and out of their respective roles. CAHSMUN does not tolerate discrimination based on race, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, age or handicapping condition.

CAHSMUN will impose a strict curfew for all delegates. Delegates must return to their own rooms by midnight. There will be no co-ed rooming.
